Partners of VIDA YOUTH project, code n° 2016-1-IT03-KA205-007935, funded within the Erasmus+ Programme 2016, met for the first working meeting on 27 and 28 October 2016 in Barcelos, a city and a municipality in the Braga District in the Minho Province, in the north of Portugal.
Partners came from the island of Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Spain, and welcome with great cordiality by colleagues of SOPRO NGOD, local Portuguese Association that operates without profit discover in the social services sector and in favour of most fragile and disadvantaged people.
Two days of hard work but well organized
Inside of the Casa da Juventude,
a structure that provides services to young people, promoted and carried out by the Municipality of Barcelos. It was opened about 10 years ago and is modern, well furnished, cozy, located in the heart of the city.
The work took place in the morning and the afternoon and was made more bearable by the social and cultural events organized in the evening. From the visit to the colourful weekly market,
must for all the inhabitants of the 60 parishes of the city, to the Medieval Tower in Portuguese called or galo de Barcelos (“the Rooster of Barcelos”) that dominates the center of the city.

The most widespread and reassuring presence is the granite stone with which they built the most important public buildings and much of the old town.
At the conclusion of the meeting Partners decided that next working meeting will be held in Italy, in Ancona from 13 to 17 February 2017.
